Short Escape at Tanah Aina Farrah Soraya

19th October 2019

This date marks our one year anniversary as husband and wife. A beautiful date, isn't it?

My husband had booked us a one night stay at Tanah Aina Farrah Soraya Eco Resort in Raub, Pahang. A needed short escape as we have not had any vacation in a while since my husband and I were pretty much busy with our careers.

Day 1

We head off early at 8.30 in the morning. We had breakfast on our way there at Oldtown White Coffee. It took us about one hour and 45 minutes to reach Tanah Aina Farrah Soraya. Once we've reached, we had to parked our car and load our bags into a lorry where they will take us to the resort.

Once we're at the lobby, we were greeted with refreshments.

We were given our room key and the staff took our bags and showed us our room.

We had the Honeymoon room and I was surprised that our room was located directly in front of the river. It was very nice and the sound of the water splashing through the rocks create a peaceful ambience. Ah, bliss.

The room have stairs where you can just go down to the river and play with the waters just in front of your room.

After we have settled our bags, we straight away went to the buffet area for our lunch. They provided us with three meals and an evening tea.

Here are the itinerary during our stay here. They are activities provided so you're not bored in a jungle where there's no coverage. Yeap, no wi-fi, internet, whatsoever. Totally cut off from the world so you can enjoy mother nature. Good thing I have Wattpad on my phone.

I had a good time joining the Leap of Faith Trekking. It's where you trek to the waterfall there. It's beautiful and clean. I even tried the Leap of Faith where you jump from a height to the water. I wasn't even scared. I wish I had brought along my phone to captured the scenery but I forgot to buy the waterproof cover for my phone so I was pretty bummed about that but they do have a photographer that followed us through the trekking journey and take pictures of us. But you have to buy them after which I bought and it was only RM15 per cd.

We didn't had the chance to do the Night Walk because it was pouring rain so they won't take any chances since the trail would be slippery and muddy. But it was okay since we were very tired from the waterfall trekking so we went to bed early.

Day 2

I had a cup of coffee with this view. I really love this place. My husband and I didn't even join the morning walk or the flying fox because we were both really tired. I guess we were out of shape and the trekking really beat us. So we just enjoyed our breakfast and coffee by the river. An ideal romantic breakfast date.

We didn't do much on Day 2 as it was our last day here and we just wanted to relax and enjoy the place before we have to face reality back home.

All in all, I had a great and relaxing time here at Tanah Aina Farrah Soraya. It's also a great place for families to have a short vacation here just having fun and bond with each other. A really nice place to create memories.

Price

Since this was a gift for our honeymoon, we didn't actually pay for anything. I didn't even know the rate at first but I did some research on Tanah Aina's website and found out that the chalet I stayed in was rated for RM360 per pax. Inclusive of three meals and an evening tea, buffet style. Activities were also included such as morning walk, waterfall trekking, and night walk. For other activities such as flying fox, jungle paintball, and etc, there were additional charges for it but still affordable.
