Mom's Birthday Dinner at Asumo Japanese Restaurant, Subang Jaya

(A very long overdue post)

We had an early birthday celebration dinner for my mom's birthday since everyone was free on that day. My mom had to work on her actual birthday.

My brother wanted to treat her something nice and expensive so he offered to have dinner at Asumo Japanese Restaurant in Subang Jaya. His treat!

It was my first time here as well. Super excited to experience eating here.

First Impression

I love the atmosphere of the place. It's so nice to have each dining area in a private space. So we had a room to ourselves where I don't have to worry about my toddler running around here and there. The staff even offered toys to give to my 3 years old son, which he was very pleased to choose one from a basket full of variety of toys. Brownie points for the thoughtful gesture! He played during dinner so mom and dad had a peaceful dinner too.

The Wagyu

The meats were obviously the star of the dish. Served in a big wooden boat, along with a bowl of rice and condiments for each guests. The meats looked so fresh and nicely cut. It's not marinated so when you grill it you can actually taste the juicy fresh beef. Each condiments were so good to pair with the beef. 

The Price

My brother ends up paying around RM1k+ -ish. He personally loves the place and the food. He would not mind eating here again. I, on the other hand, won't be going for the second time around since it's so expensive. However, if you have the budget, it's a good experience to dine here.

The Celebration

The important thing is that our mother had an incredible experience here. We all did. Seeing her happy celebrating her day with her kids is what matters most. The staffs were so helpful and friendly by keeping the cake stored and bringing it out when we asked to. They set up the candles, and small plates too. Great service!

I bought the cake myself. Everyone loved it.
